Singer: Kavita Krishnamurthy
Lyrics: Raskhan

Mor pakhaa sir upar raakhihon..
gunj ki maal gare pahirongi.. 2

(wearing a peacock feather above,
i will wear the string(mala) of beads in my neck..)

odhi pitaambar,lay lakuti,
ban gaawat godhan sang firongi..

(wearing pitambar (yellow robes of krishna)
taking nakuti(holy staff), singing in the forests,
i will roam around with the cattle)

Mor pakhaa sir upar raakhihon..
gunj ki maal gare pahirongi..
Mor pakhaa sir upar rakhiho..

bhavati wohi meri.. raskhaan so..
tere kahe sab swaang karongi.. 2

(Raskhan says- only because you like it.
i will do all this drama on your command)

tay murali..
tay murali..
tay murali.. muralidhar ki
adhraan dhari.. adhra na dharongi..

(your murali (flute)
the murali .. but I wont take that murali to my lips which muralidhar(krishna) has held to his lips.
)

Mor pakhaa sir upar raakhihon..
gunj ki maal gare pahirongi..
odhi pitaambar,lay lakuti,
ban gaawat godhan sang firongi..

Mor pakhaa sir upar raakhihon..
gunj ki maal gare pahirongi..
Mor pakhaa sir upar raakhihon..
