Its a story about a singer,Alok whose search for learning more about music brings him in a slum to courtesan Sarju Bai. Knowing about this, his advocate father, tries uprooting the cause by rendering Sarju Bai homeless .Enraged by it,Alok leaves his home and buys a horse-carriage to earn his living. His father tries various means to make his son feel guilty of his decision and come back home and apologize to him. Things turn the other way round. Alok's financial condition takes toll on his health. He is then taken to ailing Sarju Bai where finally things sort out with a happy ending.
The movie has some melodious musical piece,purely classical.A good movie which requires a patient watch.
